
Ms. Meenakshi Priya is a Teaching and Research Associate at the School of Maritime Law, Policy and Administration (SMLPA), Gujarat Maritime University, Gandhinagar. At the University, she actively contributes to academic and institutional development as a member of the Journal Committee, Report Committee, Library and Resources Committee, and several other academic and administrative committees.
She is currently pursuing her PhD in International Law at South Asian University, New Delhi. She completed her MPhil and LL.M in International Law from South Asian University, where her research focused on climate change, the law of the sea, and international environmental governance. She holds a B.A. LL.B degree from the Central University of South Bihar. Her academic interests include international environmental law, climate change law, law of the sea, ocean governance, and emerging questions of State responsibility in environmental protection. Through her teaching, research, and institutional engagement, she contributes to advancing scholarship in maritime law and climate governance.
Meenakshi is a member of the Asian Society of International Law and serves in the Pool of Experts (PoE) for the United Nations Regular Process on Global Reporting and Assessment of the State of the Marine Environment (DOALOS). She actively contributes to academic and professional discourse through lectures, conference participation, and scholarly publications.
