
VJ Mathew, a designated Senior Advocate having more than 43 years of active law practice in the Indian High Courts and Supreme Court of India. He is also having active Indian and International practice in arbitration and in maritime law.
Sr. Adv. VJ Mathew was the former and first Chairman of Kerala Maritime Board, a statutory body responsible for operation and management of 18 ports in the State of Kerala and was also the member of the International Maritime Transport Law Committee – IBA, responsible for Asia Pacific Region.
Presently he is the Vice President of Indian Maritime Law Association, which is a forum of maritime lawyers, ship owners, vessel charterers, ports and port operators, EXIM trade, shipping trade bodies, maritime universities and similar organization connected with maritime and shipping, affiliated to Comit’e Maritime International – CMI established in Antwerp – Belgium in 1897.
VJ Mathew is the member of following organizations
