Mr. V. Harish Kumar

V. Harish Kumar currently serves as a Teaching and Research Associate at Gujarat Maritime University under the School of Maritime Management.

He completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Defence Management in 2024 from the B.K. School of Professional and Management Studies and the Institute of Defence Studies and Research (IDSR), Gujarat University. His postgraduate work focused on strategic management within defence institutions, national security frameworks, and policy analysis. Prior to this, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Defence and Strategic Studies from Guru Nanak College, Chennai, where he developed a foundational understanding of military strategy, geopolitics, and security dynamics.

In addition to his academic background, he has accumulated 1.6 years of professional experience in the field of Human Resource Management, including internship experience. This exposure has strengthened his research coordination, analytical, and organizational competencies.

His current research interests include National Security, Counter-Terrorism, Strategic Studies, Defence Policy, and Security Governance. He is particularly interested in contemporary security challenges, asymmetric warfare, and emerging threats in the maritime and strategic domains.
