Dr. G V NARASIMHA RAO holds several academic qualifications in diverse areas like international law, constitutional law, international trade and investment law, international commercial arbitration, international intellectual property rights, international criminal law, financial markets, mutual funds, derivatives etc.
Similarly, Dr RAO also possesses diverse experience of -40- years to his credit. He started his career as an advocate, later shifted himself to teaching law and served as a lecturer for more than -5-years and later served in the law department of a prominent nationalized for nearly 22 years as manager (Law), senior Manager (Law), Chief Manager (Law), Assistant General Manager (Law) before superannuating on attaining -60-years. After superannuating from the Bank, he joined in NIRMA Institute of Law for 2 years and superannuated in December 2020 on attaining the age of 62 years. After superannuating from the NIRMA Institute of Law, Dr. RAO joined in 2021 in Gujrat Maritime University as an associate professor of Law teaching international commercial law, international investment law, WTO law and India & foreign Trade and serving in that position till date.
Dr RAO contributed to various journals on diverse legal issues like comparative Advertising, Reverse Mortgages, conflict of claims between State versus secured lenders, commercial arbitration, Banking, judicial review of administrative action in Banks, manual scavenging, right to housing. His latest article “Right to Adequate Housing-Will it Survive Financialization” has been published as a book chapter in a book Human Rights – State Obligations.
Dr RAO takes sessions on invitation on Banking matters/ laws at various institutes. He took sessions at Institutes like Apex Academy of Bank of Baroda, National Institute Bank Management, Pune (NIBM), ADANI INSTITUTE INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT, AHMEDABAD, of L S University, Ahmedabad, MANIKCHAND PAHADE Law College, Aurangabad, JINDAL GLOBAL UNIVESRITY
