MBA Admissions Criteria

MBA (Shipping & Logistics)

  • The MBA Programme, offered through the School of Maritime Management, was conceptualized and designed by the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark in lines with its BLUE MBA programme.

Eligibility

  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 50% marks for General Category or equivalent CGPA (45% marks in case of SC/ST/SEBC/EWS category candidates).
  • The holders of the ‘Certificate of Equivalency’ issued by Association of Indian Universities or any other competent institution are also eligible to the programme.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results may also apply. If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, subject to completion of all the requirements and fulfillment of eligibility criteria in due course of time.

Selection Process

The selection process of the programme is through the following two methods:

All India Seats

  • The candidates seeking admission under this category may submit the online application by visiting the University website ( https://gmu.edu.in/ )
  • The selection process will be on the basis of performance of the candidate in the National Level Online Remotely Proctored Entrance Test and Personal Interview conducted by the University. The question paper will be based on Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability & Comprehension

However, the candidates having a valid CMAT/CAT score of the year 2023, are not required to participate in the University Admission selection process.

State Quota Seats

  • For admission under the State quota seats a candidate must apply through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) website (http://www.jacpcldce.ac.in/),and follow the instructions provided therein and select “Gujarat Maritime University” as the first preference for admission.

Admission

Admission to the MBA program is open to graduates from any discipline provided he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria and qualifies through the selection process.

Application Fees

Application fees will be charged from the students as below which need to be paid while filling out the online application forms.

Applicants are required to note the application ID generated on successful submission of the application form. The application ID is to be used for all communication with the university officials during the admissions stage. On successful submission of the application form, the candidates will be redirected to the admission fee payment page. Candidates may choose the mode of payment from the available options and pay the fees as applicable.

Reservation of Seats

Gujarat Professional Technical Educational Colleges or Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007 and in reference to the Master of Business Administration Course (Regulation of Admission and Payment of Fees) Rules, 2020, the seats shall be reserved towards admission in Government Seats who are of Gujarat origin and falling under the following categories and in following proportion;

Over and above, three percent of the seats will be reserved for students belonging to the Differently abled Category.

Students are required to submit relevant valid proof documents to support the reservation of seats are required to be submitted during the time of admission.

Disclaimer and Notice

  • Providing inaccurate or incomplete information or malpractice of any kind or canvassing will result in disqualification of the Candidate.
  • Please note that admission to any category of candidate is subject to meeting the selection criteria as specified by GMU. In case of any dispute, the jurisdiction will be the competent court of Gandhinagar only.
  • Ragging is totally banned in GMU and anyone found guilty of ragging and/ or abetting ragging is liable to be punished as per the GMU Anti-Ragging Policy.
  • The candidates are to note that since the programme is in the first year of commencement, the fee structure is subject to revision by the fee regulatory committee. In case of an upwards revision the institute will be authorized by the fee regulatory committee to collect the excess fees. In case of a downward revision, the difference will be refunded to the students.
