Mr. Sharad Sarangadharan is a port sector professional, with an extensive career of over 25 years in the maritime industry. At present, he leads the Business Development Department of the Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB), an organization committed to advancing Gujarat’s non-major ports under the supervision of the Government of Gujarat.

In conjunction with his GMB responsibilities, Mr. Sarangadharan holds the position of Executive Director at the Gujarat Maritime University and serves as the Member Secretary of the Gujarat International Arbitration Centre. He has been the founding Member Secretary of the Gujarat Maritime Cluster. He has been the driving force in the establishment of the Gujarat Maritime University, the Gujarat Maritime Cluster, and the Gujarat International Arbitration Centre, right from their inception.

Mr. Sarangadharan’s influence in the maritime sector reaches beyond Gujarat’s borders. As the first nominee of the Government of Gujarat, he represents the state on the Board of the Indian Maritime University, a Central University under the Government of India. He holds this role as a Member of Court, one of the Statutory Bodies.

Mr. Sarangadharan holds postgraduate degrees in Management, Journalism, and Shipping Management, and undergraduate degrees in Commerce and Law.
