Centre of Executive Education (CEE) aims to provide a world class professional leadership education platform based in Gujarat.
This CEE offers programs for working professionals that are designed to provide timely learning interventions that help them upskill and progress in their careers, while impacting the organisations that they operate in. Programs are specially designed to provide critical leadership effectiveness and general management competencies for Senior and Middle Management. Programs are developed and delivered by global executive education faculty for India based organizations and leadership growth for individuals.
To run programs under the CEE, Gujarat Maritime University has collaborated with International maritime institutes of repute to bring in the international expertise and the global best practices for the professional development of leaders. Programs are available for different seniority levels and across multiple functions of maritime industry such as Maritime Law, Logistics Management, Marine Insurance, Chartering, Ship-broking, Port Operations and Shipping Management etc. These programs are short duration programs ranging from 3 to 7 Days.
To commence with, under CEE, Executive Development Programmes (EDPs) in collaboration with Erasmus University and STC International from Rotterdam, Netherlands has conducted the following programmes.
Gujarat Maritime University has teamed up with Erasmus UPT and STC International from Rotterdam Maritime Capital of Europe, to develop and deliver varied educational services. The collaboration of Gujarat Maritime University and Erasmus UPT, STC International, Rotterdam shall offer a series of short courses for an audience of professionals working in maritime and logistics companies. The participants for this series of courses are currently working in middle management positions or higher. The participants will obtain advanced knowledge and learn from international best practices in maritime, transport and logistics. The cooperation between Gujarat Maritime University, Erasmus UPT and STC International has the potential and ambition to grow towards a full knowledge partnership, in which partners enable crossovers of high end maritime and port logistics knowledge between Gujarat and Rotterdam, Maritime Capital of Europe.
Erasmus UPT is a center of expertise founded by Erasmus University Rotterdam. STC International is a Member of the STC Group. The organisation provides education, (training) courses, technical assistance and research. STC International provides its services to the following sectors: Maritime & Offshore, Ports & Terminals, Transport & Logistics and transfers knowledge and skills and shares experiences while operating globally and acting locally. The STC Group comprises on one hand the regular activities connected to vocational education on various levels, from lower vocational education and secondary school specialized in the logistic sector, up to the level of BSc Maritime Officer and an MSc in Shipping and Transport (Maritime and Logistics University). For the group activities evidence-based techniques and methods are used which enables the lecturers to provide sustainable and innovative education.
